Kenneth Coffey

Kenneth Ray Coffey, 49, Kildav, passed away Tuesday January 24, 2012 at his home following a long illness. Ray was born March 31, 1962 in Elcomb and had lived here all of his life. He worked as a mechanic and coal miner and believed in the pentecostal faith, but above all Ray was a wonderful father and brother.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Ethel Logan Coffey; one brother, Jim Logan; two sisters, Jewel Coffey and Frances Coffey.

Survivors include two daughter, Rebecca Brock and husband, Jerry, Evarts; and Heather Pennington and husband, Michael, Harlan; one granddaughter, Katalynn Brock, Evarts; four brothers, Earl Coffey, and wife, Ruth, Williamsburg; Leonard Coffey and wife, Kathy, Berea; Daniel Coffey and wife, Margret, Lexington; and Hazel Coffey and wife, Vickie, Kildav.

Visitation will be held Thursday after 2 PM at the Kildav Community Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday January 26, 2012 at 12 Noon at the Kildav Community Church with the Reverend Richard Ledford officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Evarts Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
