Iva AbbottIva Jean (Aunty) Abbott, 80 of Lenarue went to be with her Lord on Saturday March 2, 2013 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following a long illness.

Jean was born June 30, 1932 in Harlan Co., KY to the late William and Bertha Noe Pace. She was a homemaker and devoted member of the Lenarue Baptist Church. She was a loving Wife, Mother, and Aunty.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Glenn Abbott; brothers, John Lonzo, Arnold, and Elbert Reed Pace; sister, Artie Mae Pace Jackson.

She is survived by her daughter, Wina Delilah Abbott of Lenarue and a special niece, Donna Pace Lambert of Tazewell, TN; she leaves other nieces, nephews, other relatives to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5 until 8:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday March 6, 2013 at the Lenarue Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Howard, Rev. Eddie Huckleby, and Rev. Randy Hoskins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Park Howard Cemetery at Wallins with special nephews serving as pallbearers, Charles Lambert, II, Joshua McQuade Lambert, Randy Lee Lambert and Scott Ray Pace, II.

So sorry or the loss o your mom. I still remember her as a cook and James A. She was a good person. Hope all is well with you. Not sure you will remember me. But maybe you will.

I was saddened when I learned of Iva's death. I have many fond memories of her visits to my office. My prayer is that God will grant you comfort and peace at this time of sorrow.
