Marvin Stanton, 76 of Kildav passed away Saturday March 2, 2013 at the Tri Cities Nursing Home, Cumberland. Marvin was born May 28, 1936 at Crummies, KY to the late Rev. Jess and Rebecca Sergent Stanton. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and he believed in the Church of God faith.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Omar Stanton and sister, Ruby Young.

He is survived by his brothers, Winston Stanton of Kildav, Clarence Stanton of Norwood, OH, Frank Stanton of Norwood, OH, Paris Stanton of Newman, TN; his sister, Ester Parkison of Muncie, IN; he leaves 5 nephews and 3 nieces to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Gravesides services will follow at 12:30 pm at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel. Military rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor Guard In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095
